2nd Sunday of Lent
Thanks to those who were able to sing/play for Ash Wednesday! Our group was well-represented, and the turnout was pretty good for a weeknight liturgy. It was a nice way to kick off the Lenten season.

We also pulled off a solid piano/violin Mass on Saturday. More folks were out than originally anticipated, but everything still came together well. The new Gathering song is sounding good so far; Be with Me and Change our Hearts were also highlights.

We stuck around after Mass to work on I Will Rise, but also touched on Who is That Man? and Open the Eyes of My Heart.

Bev is taking point on a project to put together a master contacts list for the group. This is an idea that was floated back in February to help improve communications. If you haven't already, please reply to Bev's email/Facebook post with the contact info requested. This is for our own internal use and won't be shared outside the group. If any questions/concerns, let us know!

Let's take a few minutes to sort out the alternate troupes on the Lamb of God (there may have been some confusion on this last week). Also, if possible, I'd love to do Song of the Body of Christ similar to the recording below (guitar-focused and upbeat). Finally, if anyone's up for it, I wouldn't be opposed to adding the 'adoramus te christe' descant on Tree of Life :-)

Below is the tentative dress rehearsal schedule for Holy Week. We'll still meet throughout March/April as well (mostly after Masses), but these will be our 'big' rehearsals to pull everything together. Please plan to attend and let me know if any of these dates don't work.
  • Good Friday:
    • Dress Rehearsal - Friday, 04/19 @ 12:30 PM (Service @ 2 PM) - Sanctuary
  • Easter Sunday:
    • Dress Rehearsal - Saturday, 04/20 from 1-3 PM - Parish Hall (no 5:30 Mass due to Vigil)
    • Final setup/prep - Sunday, 04/21 @ 7:45 AM (Mass @ 9 AM) - Parish Hall
No practice after Mass (let's regroup on 03/23). Enjoy the nice weather, and see you Saturday!
