Feast of the Epiphany
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy some festivities and ring in 2019 with friends and family. Looking forward to seeing what the new year holds :-)

Also, thanks again for managing things last week -- I hadn't planned on being out, but just wasn't feeling well and didn't want to chance it.

The cantor schedule for January can be found here. The tentative selections for this weekend are also below. Will let you know of any changes. Stay tuned for the music for the rest of the month.

We have a new Gathering/Closing song on the board, Lord, Today. If you're not familiar with the tune, please look it over before Saturday. It's one of the more fun Epiphany songs in the book, and felt appropriate given this celebration marks the official end of the Christmas season.

I had a request to include Let There Be Peace on Earth in the program, which we typically do at the beginning of a new year. We'll probably use a similar arrangement as the recording below.

Starting next week, I'm considering One Bread, One Body for Communion. We haven't done this song in ages. It's in both books, but has the most complete set of voice parts in the GC. Let's try to keep it fairly upbeat if possible (something like this).

Just a reminder that if you still have your black binders from Christmas, don't forget to return them. I'd like to reuse these for other special occasions such as Good Friday/Easter Sunday. If you don't want your copies of the sheet music, feel free to give those back as well -- we can keep them on file for next Christmas, which will hopefully simplify the logistics a bit.

Looking ahead, Jim and Joe will be out on 01/26 for a Group Therapy gig.
