3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
We survived the Great Snowstorm! Huge thanks to Bev, Ken and Jeff for covering last week, as many of us weren't able to make it. It sounded like only a few dozen people came out, with the Sunday Masses not faring much better. The Baptism was also canceled and is tentatively being rescheduled for late-April (stay tuned). We should more-or-less be back to normal this week.
UPDATE: 01/23: After further consideration, the family has opted to reschedule the Baptism for 02/09. This should be a firm date, but Barb will let us know if anything changes. I realize we also have a planning meeting that night; this can always be moved if needed.
On a side-note, can anyone believe it's been nearly a month since Christmas? Before we know it, it'll be time to prep for Lent/Easter :-)
I'm in the processing of picking music for February, and should have a cantor schedule ready soon. Of note, Where Two or Three Are Gathered is tentatively on the board for Communion. We haven't done this song in over a year, so please take a peek if unfamiliar.
Another update on the lighting issue: I ended up acquiring a couple of different book/stands lights that we can test out on Saturday. If these don't do the job, we can try something else; just let me know your thoughts after Mass, and we can go from there.
Please check out the sheet music for the Psalm below. It's the same basic arrangement as what's in the book, but includes a bunch of additional voice/instrument parts (you may want to print copies). I'd love to take advantage of these parts if at all possible.
Finally, Jim, Joe and Eva are performing this Saturday from 5-8 PM at Tussey (details here). I believe Bev and Frances (and perhaps some others) are planning to go after Mass. Feel free to join them!
