Feast of Christ the King
Bev is playing for Thanksgiving Eve Mass on Wednesday, 11/21, at 7 PM. Come join in the singing!
Since accompaniment on Saturday will primarily be piano, keep in mind that I Rejoiced will have a bit of a different feel (something like this). Likewise, we may need to swing the melody line a bit on The King of Glory so it's not so rigid (also, don't forget the dynamic changes between refrain and verse).
A reminder that our first Advent/Christmas rehearsal is after Mass this Saturday from ~6:45-8:00 PM (the rest of the tentative plan/schedule for the season can be found here). I'd like to touch on any new Advent music (TBD - pending a meeting/update from Father), review Mass of Joy & Peace and start working on Sing We Now of Christmas. If time, we can look at other music as needed.
Jim and Joe are out this week. Looking ahead, Lisa is out on 12/01. Both Bev and Lisa are out on 12/08. I have a concert on 12/08 as well, but am planning to come to Mass afterward. Please let me know of any other absences so we can plan accordingly. Looking forward to a great season of holiday music, and if I don't see you, Happy Thanksgiving!
