26th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Very nice work last week! It was great to be at full staff again, and the program was definitely a standout for this month (check out the recordings HERE). We were also joined by Jane, a guest singer visiting from out-of-state. Thanks for making her feel welcome!

As you know, with Bev and Jim out, we're a bit short on musicians this week. I wasn't able to find additional help, so it looks like Tom will be playing guitar and Maggie violin. Please make sure you're comfortable with all the music. If you're able, I'd suggest arriving at 4 PM so we have a bit more time to work out the bugs.

We haven't done We Are Called to Serve in quite a while, so don't forget to review it if unfamiliar. Also, let's be careful to not make the melody line on We Come Today too rigid -- it should be allowed to flow and can be swung a bit.

If you're available this Sunday, 09/30, please come sing/play for the Arise Liturgy at 3 PM. Father would like a large group of musicians for the event. An ice cream social follows. The liturgy coincides with the beginning of the first six-week module of the Arise Program. Our new Closing song for October and November, We Arise, will be introduced at this Mass. Will pass along details as I get them.

Finally, a special Mass for the Feast of St. Francis will be celebrated on Thursday, 10/04, at 7 PM. Barb is looking for singers/instrumentalists to lead the music. Bev and I are planning to be there. Let me know if you're able to help.

UPDATE: 09/28: Tom is tied up this weekend and won't be able to play after all; Maggie and Joe have instruments covered.
