16th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Saturday's program was planned around piano accompaniment. We'll likely focus more heavily on vocals to balance things out. Let's try to get underway right at 4:30 if at all possible.
If anyone's interested, I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say is another song that would sound great in parts. Also, looking ahead, next week's Gathering song (SS #111 - Gather Your People) is new. Please take some time to work on it. Materials can be found HERE.
For those unaware, this Saturday will be Group Therapy's (Jim, Jonathan, Joe and Maggie) final gig in its current form. Jonathan and Maggie will be stepping down, with new new folks joining the ensemble when it relaunches later this year. If you're looking for some post-Mass entertainment (or haven't seen these guys perform yet), the band will be playing at Talleyrand Tavern from 8-10 PM.
Finally, just a general reminder to please make sure you're communicating any absences to the group. I love you guys and don't want to ruffle any feathers, but we've had some issues with this in recent weeks. Anything we can to do to avoid surprises would be very much appreciated :-).

UPDATE: 07/20: Barb let me know that using money donated by Jim after Cindy's funeral, the Office purchased several items for use by the choirs. These include three music stands, one LED book light and a metal page separator. Needless to say, these items will definitely come in handy, especially for occasions such as Christmas and Easter. Please take a moment to thank Jim for such a generous donation if you see him!
