Thanks for a great Mass last week! It was wonderful to be at nearly full staff again. Gather Your People came together well for a first run, and He is Exalted was definitely a highlight. The harmonies were lovely as always, especially on We Are Many Parts.

Our music for August has been approved with a few changes. Of note, rather than Look Beyond, we'll be singing Pan de Vida for Communion (which is also a nice fit for the readings). I'll provide sheet music with English-only lyrics. We'll probably still do Look Beyond as a prelude or meditation later in the month (stay tuned); Father just didn't want us using a song that wasn't in the book.

The cantor schedule for August has also been finalized. As always, let me know if you see any issues.

We have a Baptism this week. Come to the River will be our Sprinkling Rite song. This is new, so please look it over before Saturday. If this ends up working well, I'll add it to our rotation of sprinkling songs.

Bald Eagle Vocals will be performing for the first time on Sunday, 08/12, at 2 PM. I'm singing with this new summer community choir as a tenor. Details here and here.

Arietta Women's Ensemble (Lisa & Bev) will be holding their annual 'Wine, Women & Song' event on Friday, 08/17, at 7:30 PM. Details here.

Finally, just a reminder that a Memorial Mass for Bob Killoren will be celebrated on Sunday, 08/19, at 11 AM. Father is currently assembling the program. For those interested in attending, will pass along details as I receive them.
