I also wanted to pass along the compliments of Dave and his wife. For those unaware, these folks have been big supporters of our group for a while. Since they'll soon be leaving the area, Pentecost was their last Mass with us as Good Shepherd parishioners. It's always wonderful to hear that folks not only appreciate what we do, but also find it inspiring. Thank you as always for your dedication to our Ministry -- it really does make a difference.
I'm in the process of picking the music for June, and will get that sent to the Office early next week. A strong contender for our June Communion song is O Taste and See (SS #159 / GC3 #917). This is a new piece, so please take a look (HERE). The verses are especially a bit tricky, so doing them as solos is a possibility (not unlike what we did for Make Us Worthy).
For Go Make a Difference, keep in mind that we'll be doing this with piano, rather than guitar, accompaniment, so it'll have a bit of a different feel. The piano accompaniment will sound something like THIS. Let's have some fun with the song, but not get too carried away :-)
One last reminder that we're switching back to Mass of Creation next weekend. If you haven't already, please take a few minutes to review this.
Jim and Ken are out this week. If I don't see you, enjoy the holiday!
