I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the holiday! We were a small group once again, but things went quite well. Go Make a Difference (HERE) was definitely a highlight. We didn't have a chance to prep any patriotic music for Memorial Day, though, so let's see what we can do for the 4th of July. There were some sound system issues as well, but it seemed like this was primarily with Father's wireless setup and not our choir mics.

Father's only request was that folks try to watch whomever is speaking at the Alter/Podium (this carries over from some of the concerns that he raised over Pentecost). I know that we're 'working' during Mass and often have things that need to be prepped, but just something to be mindful of moving forward.

The music for June has been sent to the Office for approval. Will let you know of any changes to this week's program. Of note:
  • We're switching back to Mass of Creation this Saturday, 06/02;
  • Our new Communion song, O Taste and See (SS #159), will be introduced on 06/09;
  • A new Psalm, Before and Behind Me (SS #089), is slated for 06/23.
If needed, I'd be happy to schedule a practice to work on one or both of these new songs (let me know your thoughts); otherwise, please look over the materials on the website beforehand.

Finally, a letter to pastoral musicians was included in our July music selection resources from Celebration Publications. Check it out HERE. The letter talks about ways to refresh and renew ourselves over the summer from the demands of music ministry. Food for thought.

Maggie and the Davis clan are out this week and next (travel). Bev will be out on 06/23.
