This Saturday is the 2nd Sunday of Easter.
Many thanks to those who were able to sing, play and/or help out during Holy Week! The liturgies we covered were a huge success. We've gotten quite a bit of positive feedback from not only our counterparts in the Sunday Choirs, but also parishioners and visitors alike. I'll share a cloud folder with the recordings later this week (a few are also below).
Covering Masses on a weekly basis can sometimes become a bit routine, but it's occasions like this that really show off what we can do. I can't emphasize enough how much your willingness to donate time, talent and technical skills to our Ministry is appreciated. It really does make a difference in the quality of our music. After all the excitement, though, definitely looking forward to relative normalcy for a while (if there is such a thing :-).
The tentative music selections for this week are below. A couple of songs are repeats from Easter Sunday. I'm still in the process of picking music for the rest of April, and will get those selections out to you ASAP. Note that we have a Baptism on 04/28 -- I'm tied up that night, so we'll need to sort out who's taking point.
If you still have an original copy of Make Us Worthy, Who is That Man? or any other Lent/Easter sheet music, please make sure to bring those back this week. I'd like to retain copies in our drawer for future use.
It's about time for our next after-Mass (quarterly) dinner. Could we plan to meet on 05/05? If this works, I'll put out a food signup closer to that date. This would also be a good opportunity to discuss a few 'state of the choir' issues that we didn't have a chance to talk about at the beginning of the year.
