This Saturday is the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Covering All Saints was a nice change in pace, and we (SCCS) also had a successful and well-received choir concert Saturday evening. I really appreciate everyone's willingness to step up and fill in/cover where needed. Things should be back to normal this week.
Our music for November (here) has been approved with one minor change; likewise, the cantor schedule has been finalized (here).
As far as Advent/Christmas, will let you know as soon as I have any details. In the meantime, I'd like to schedule a couple of 'big' rehearsals to go through the Children's Program (let's avoid a repeat of last year) and music. If you'd like to make a calendar note, these will probably be held the week of 12/11 and/or 12/18 (evening). It's also possible we'll need to schedule something much earlier, especially if we end up doing any new music for Advent.
We have a Baptism this Saturday. The Gloria will be used for Gathering, and a Sprinkling Rite has also been added after the homily. Since Bev is available (change in plans), we should also try playing the music that leads up to the "We Believe" responses (ie the chords that are played while Father is speaking).

UPDATE: 11/02: next Tuesday is Father's birthday, so we should make it a point to sing to him at the end of Mass.
