This Saturday is the 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Nice job last week! Despite having a pretty small group, all of our songs had some great energy and harmony (a few samples here, here and here). It's easy to forget how effective a small group can be :-) Special thanks to Frances and Jonathan for joining us!
It's looking like we'll be light on musicians again this week -- Jim,
If you're not familiar with our Closing song, Seek First, please take a look before Saturday. We haven't done this song in quite a while. Similar to He is Exalted, it has a single refrain and verse that are repeated a few times and then brought to a close.
Looking ahead, would we be up for another dinner on 10/28? I think we touched on this last time, but sticking with a certain day of the month would help with planning. Again, we don't have to keep doing pot luck; I just wanted to keep things simple the first time so we could work out any bugs. Open to ideas if anyone would like to try other food/venue options.
UPDATE: 10/17: Maggie is planning to be at Mass (gig doesn't start until 8 PM).
