This Saturday is the 8th Sunday in Ordinary Time, and also a Baptism.
We were out last week, so I don't have much in the way of updates.
We'll be switching to revised Mass of Remembrance starting Ash Wednesday. To borrow a line from Jonathan, this is an old Good Shepherd chestnut, but we'll definitely have to take time to 'relearn' it with the 2010 changes. See the new Mass of Remembrance page above for practice materials.
UPDATE: Jim found out from the Office that the Mass of Remembrance booklets came in today (Wednesday). They'll be on the shelves in the back of the Choir section when we need them.
In addition, we'll need to spend some time working on our Common Gathering Song, GC 743, and instrumentalists should also learn the Penitential Rite, GC 398 (Father will cantor this). Not sure if any of these things were discussed at rehearsal last Saturday, so just wanted to mention them again.
UPDATE: I found out from Jim and Jonathan that we're doing 'Shout to the Lord' as a prelude this week. Please review your parts so we'll be ready to assemble it before mass.
If anyone's interested, Luke and Dawn are having their new baby baptized this Sunday at the 9 AM mass.
Karina will be out for the next month or so due to BEA Drumline commitments.
