Thanks to everyone who came out last week! Between the Silver Rose, Alpha testimonial and our Potluck, there were plenty of extra things going on!

The four-part harmony on Jesus in the Morning sounded great! Our tweaks to Lord, Your Love is Everlasting worked fairly well, and it was fun pulling out Fly Like a Bird again. That's definitely one to revisit!

Also, the Weaklands were at Mass and passed along their compliments. Some of you remember when they were heavily involved with our Ministry probably 15 years ago. Good to see them again!

Here's the audio. Once again, two sets of files. I'm still playing with some things, but the recording level is just about right now. We probably won't keep capturing from the system every week (it takes extra time to edit). But once the kinks are worked out, it'll be a great option to have for when we need it :-). 

Five of us stuck around for the Summer Potluck, plus Fr. Jozef. Thanks as always for the great food! It looks like we'll try to hold one more Potluck before the end of the year -- stay tuned for another poll!

Our September music is nearly ready and should post later this week! As it stands, we have two new pieces to work on. The first is a tune I borrowed from Joanne's plans for the Season of Creation (it looks like a really nice fit for the themes). The second is a kingdom-themed piece from our old friend Marty Haugen. We'll sing both of these more than once. Let's start taking a look this week:

A quick note that Faith Formation and OCIA dates have been added to the group calendar. We ended up needing to confirm some things, but everything should be correct now! Please mark your calendars if you haven't already:
  • 12/19/26 - Christmas Pageant, 1-3 PM in Agape Hall
  • 01/09/27 - OCIA Dismissal @ 5 PM Mass
  • 02/13/27 - OCIA Dismissal @ 5 PM Mass
  • 03/06/27 - OCIA Dismissal @ 5 PM Mass
  • 04/03/27 - First Communion @ 5 PM Mass (weekend after Easter!)

Finally, we're still evaluating that donated guitar. It's looking much more likely that we'll keep our original spare and donate this new one (especially since it appears to have electronics issues). But we'll make a final call once everyone has a chance to check it out. Stay tuned.

**It would be great to include at least one of the harmonies on the refrain. Also, we'll skip the interlude between verses 2 & 3. There's no key change this time, so it's not really needed. Finally, keep in mind that the melody on verse 3 is slightly different from 1 & 2 (just the last few bars).**

**This is a tad long, so we may only get through two verses. Don't forget that the melodies on each verse are different! There's also a three-part arrangement in the folder if anyone's feeling adventurous :-).**

**The SS version has several key changes, which makes repeating anything tricky. We may want to try GC instead, which is all in one key. We'll have to see how the arrangements compare, though! Let's also make sure we're together on the rhythms -- lots of eighths & sixteenths in this one!**
