2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Well done last week! We had a great mix of music and some nice harmonies! I also loved how the new Sprinkling Rite came together -- that one's definitely worth repeating, I think! Here's the audio.
Welcome back to Ordinary Time! I'm sad to see the Christmas season go, but it was a good run!
If interested, here's the Music Ministry report that's being submitted to the Prayer & Worship Chair for this week's Pastoral Council meeting. Thanks to Barb P. for compiling!
A quick reminder that our Winter Potluck is coming up on February 7th after Mass. We're good on desserts, but still need pretty much everything else. Please RSVP if you haven't already!
Masses for Ash Wednesday will be celebrated on February 18th @ 8:30 AM & 7:00 PM (or possibly 6:00 -- Fr. Jozef may shift the time). Barb P. is coordinating the morning Mass and Joanne evening. If you're able to join us, music will be posted to the website soon.
Finally, I touched on this last Saturday, but we've been asked to take over the Easter Vigil. The Sunday folks have been leading it for 30+ years, and are ready to hand it off. This year, Vigil falls on Saturday, April 4th (probably 8:30 PM). An email went out earlier with more info. Please let me know this week if you have any thoughts or concerns. I'd like to make a final call by Sunday.
That's all for now; have a great week!
(All Mass Parts, except the Gospel Acclamation, are from Mass of Joy & Peace, including the Gloria, Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'B' (When We Eat This Bread), Doxology & Lamb of God)
Out: Karen, Jake
Entrance:
SS #134 (GC3 #582) - Rain Down (Cortez)
Materials (audio & sheet music)
**We'll sing verses 1 & 3. If interested, there are also additional voice parts in the folder -- see the separate choral music from the publisher.**
(Glory to God)
Responsorial Ps (Jake Cris):
GC3 #049 - Ps 40 - Here I Am (Cooney)
Materials (audio & sheet music)
**Both the refrain & verses have four-part harmony. If anyone would like to try the parts (or join me at the podium :-), that would be lovely!**
Acclamation (Frank):
SS #021 - Alleluia (vs 1) (Angrisano)
Preparation:
GC3 #718 - I Have Been Anointed (Warner)
Materials (audio & sheet music)
**This will be done with percussion-only accompaniment (if that's good with you, Joe!). The refrain will be sung 2-3 times, before going on to the verse. The verse could be cantored (any takers?), or done as a group. After that, we'll go back to the refrain, repeating it as many times as needed.**
(Mass Parts)
Communion:
GC3 #932 (SS #161) - One Bread, One Body (Foley)
Materials (audio & sheet music)
Closing:
SS #147 - With One Voice (Manalo)
Materials (audio & sheet music)
**Depending on the timing, we may only do 2-3 verses; if so, we'll just go to the final ending at that point. Speaking of the final ending, could we try to include the clapping too?**
