3rd Sunday of Easter

Thanks for a lovely small group Mass last week! After all of the excitement during Holy Week, it was nice to do a simple program of all-familiar music :-). I also appreciate the support with my stewardship talk -- hopefully it'll help with recruiting! Check out the audio here.
Due to an SCCS event, I'm planning to be out this week (will let you know if that changes). Bev agreed to run rehearsal/Mass in my absence (thanks, Bev!). We'll also need someone to handle announcements in Ginny's absence. It's looking like an 'all hands on deck' kind of week, so please be in touch if you're not able to attend. And as always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
We discussed this last week, but please follow the script below for the Sprinkling Rite & Gloria (immediately following the Entrance song). For the sections mark 'All Sing', we'll sing the second half of the Gloria refrain (no intro; Bev will play the opening cord only). At the end of the Sprinkling Rite, the entire Gloria will be sung. Father will sprinkle the congregation at that time.
Also, Father will probably use a sung Dismissal at the end of Mass: "The Mass has ended; go in peace, Alleluia, Alleluia."; we respond: "Thanks be to God, Alleluia, Alleluia." Please use Father's starting pitch and melody on this.
There appear to be some balance issues with the choir mics again. The mic closest to the drums is very 'hot', but the other three are coming through a bit soft. Let's take some time in the next few weeks to test/make adjustments; in the meantime, please stay close to the mics when singing.
A reminder that First Communion will be celebrated as part of Mass on April 27th. An email went out yesterday inviting Sunday musicians to join us (we'd love to have a large group for the occasion!). Stay tuned for an updated music plan (Amy & I are discussing).
On a similar note, Stewardship Weekend (an expansion of our Time & Talent event) will also be held on April 27/28. This is another good recruiting opportunity, so please keep an eye out for potential new members! I'm planning to stay after Mass that Saturday to help man the Prayer & Worship table.
Enjoy the lovely weather and see you in two weeks!
