Season of Creation:
“Let Justice & Peace Flow”
25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thanks to all who were able to be there last week! Some small issues came up, but Where Charity and Love Prevail especially sounded nice and Lead Us to Your Table is coming together. As always, I appreciate your patience & flexibility with everything that was going on! Here's the audio.
Joe & I stuck around after Mass to do some more work on the piano monitor. It turns out the wiring was fine; there were just some things that needed set up on the board. If we want to give it a try this week, the changes have been applied to our Saturday preset (and a test preset for the 10:30 folks).
I'm assuming everyone's familiar with the folk song Jesus in the Morning. We've only done this once or twice before, but what's in the book is a pretty standard arrangement. Given how quickly it moves along, getting through five verses shouldn't be an issue. Some harmony would be nice :-).
Abundant Life is our (main) Season of Creation piece for the week. We didn't have a chance to look at it, so please make sure you're familiar with the melody (the recording has parts that aren't in the book).
It's been a while since we've sung Let the River Flow, our second Season of Creation piece. Let's follow the written arrangement, which is structured as follows:
-Intro
-Verse
-Refrain
-Intro
-Verse
-Refrain (x2)
-Intro (final)
Could we also make time on Saturday to look at next week's Gathering/Closing song, Let Justice Flow Like a River (GC3 #810)? One possible approach to this is to have everyone sing the refrain, and cantor(s) on the verses (which are mostly all different). We can sort this out in the next week, though.
Our music & cantor schedule for October should be ready in the next week or so. As always, please be in touch about any Saturdays you're out (this really helps with planning).
Finally, a reminder that Time & Talent is next weekend, Sept. 30th / Oct. 1st. Details went out by email. I could still use a few volunteers to help with questions & recruiting after Mass. It would be great to bring onboard at least a few new people this time (and maybe even pull in some former members).
I think that's it. See you Saturday!
(All Mass Parts, except the Gospel Acclamation, are from Mass of Creation, including the Gloria, Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'B' (When We Eat This Bread), Doxology & Lamb of God)
