6th Sunday of Easter / May Crowning

Thanks for an awesome First Communion liturgy last week! It was such a fun program and there were so many positive comments on the music. Adding Luca, Denise & Mike to the mix was wonderful; meeting early and having wiggle room during rehearsal was great too (that may need to be our new norm for these kinds of events).

Here's the audio & livestream (the choir area is (mostly) out-of-frame, but you can still hear us :-).

Unfortunately, we didn't have any solid commitments at the Stewardship / Time, Talent & Treasure event, but a few people did express casual interest. We'll keep trying!

Our music & cantor schedule for May is ready to go. We have a number of special events throughout the month, so please let me know if there are any weekends that you're out.

There's a funeral Mass scheduled for noon on Saturday. Bev & Barb P. are covering. Just something to be aware of in case there's more activity than usual in/around the building.

Speaking of special events, May Crowning will be celebrated this week immediately after our Mary-themed Gathering song. It'll be followed by the Gloria (no Sprinkling). Everything else is normal.

Looking ahead, May 9th is the Feast of the Ascension. Masses will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 8th @ 7:00 PM (Vigil) & Thursday, May 9th @ 9:00 AM. I believe Jeff & Denise are covering the Vigil Mass; Barb P. is available to cantor the 9:00 AM, but needs a pianist (otherwise, Fr. Jozef will treat it like Daily Mass). As always, everyone's welcome to come sing/play!

Finally, we touched on this a few weeks ago, but we'll be re-introducing Storrington Mass in mid-August. Let's take some time over the Summer to work on this (we only used this Setting once before in 2017). I'll share copies of the music if you'd like to start taking a look.

I think that's it! Enjoy the lovely weather!
