4th Sunday of Easter / Good Shepherd Sunday

Thanks to Bev, Frank, Joe, Lisa & Ben for running things last week! I was tied up with an SCCS event, but I'm told you had things well under control. I'm not expecting to be out again for quite a while :-).
It appears that our Sunday counterparts are running into similar balance issues with the mics. For those willing, let's block some time outside of rehearsal to take another look. It's likely the hard knobs were adjusted, but there could be other issues too. I'll put out a separate note on this.
This week's music is a mix of (mostly) familiar tunes, many of which we haven't done in a while. Please review before Saturday -- that'll save some time. Looking forward to pulling these out again!
A few updates on next week's (04/27) First Communion liturgy:
- The music should (mostly) be finalized -- check it out here.
- The Gathering song, Open My Eyes, will be sung by the students only, with Frank accompanying on guitar (thanks, Frank!).
- Mike will be joining us on bass & Luca flute (thank you both!).
- I've also spoken/reached out to the rest of our Sunday musicians (including some excellent youth members), but most are unavailable so far.
- Once we confirm who all is attending, we'll sort out rehearsal/Mass logistics.
Also, since First Communion is normally a 'formal' event, could we do Christmas/Easter attire that night? If that's an issue, though, no worries!
Looking ahead, we return to Ordinary Time in June. At that time, we'll need to switch Mass Settings. Joanne, Barb P. and I were just discussing using Mass of Joy & Peace or Creation for the Summer and trying something different in the Fall -- likely Haugen's Storrington Mass (which we've only done once before). I'll also be looking at some other possibilities too. Stay tuned.
I think that's it; enjoy the lovely weather and have a great week!
(All Mass Parts, except the Gospel Acclamation, are from Mass of Remembrance, including the Gloria, Holy, Eucharistic Acclamation 'B' (Save Us, Savior), Doxology & Lamb of God)
