Thanks for another strong Mass last week! Unless a Grain of Wheat, Your Love is Finer than Life and Alleluia! Give the Glory especially came together nicely. Check out the audio here (thanks to Tom for a second set of recordings from the back of the Sanctuary -- it's a pretty interesting comparison!).

If you weren't here last week, I'm sad to share that Maggie & Tom will be leaving us in early/mid-August. They're moving out-of-state. Details went out by email, but please stick around after Mass on 07/29 for a sendoff dinner (signups here). All are welcome!

It appears the recent storms knocked out a breaker for the sound system equipment in the Sacristy. Nothing would power on last week, so we ended up running cables to another outlet temporarily to get us back online. Thanks to Joe, Maggie & Tom for the help with this!

Joanne, Barb P. & I are meeting on Friday to review the new Music Ministry website. We'll also be updating our Ministry booklet for the Time & Talent event (which is finally returning this Fall!)

If you're not familiar with our Offertory song, Rain Down, please take a look. We've only done this once before (but ran into some technical issues).

We may want to consider doing Christ, Be Our Light along the lines of the old t4C arrangement (Paul reintroduced this to us back in March). Besides the intro, the biggest difference is the tempo change during the verses (check out the recording).

Since we're celebrating the Parish's birthday, Killoren's Mission Song is on the program. Due to no longer having songsheets, I originally planned this as a Meditation (prior to the Communion song). This wasn't really ideal, though. After some discussions, lyric sheets will be printed for the congregation; Fr. Jozef will also advise on when we're singing this (perhaps after Communion).

UPDATE: 07/20: Fr. Jozef said we can sing this whenever we'd like. Let's aim for post-Communion.

For Bring Forth the Kingdom, let me know if you'd be interested in cantoring verses (solo or in pairs/small groups). Otherwise, we can sing them all together (we've done it both ways in the past).

Finally, I'm starting to look at music selections for August. As always, please let me know of any weekends you're out so we can plan.

That's all for now. See you Saturday and/or at the Picnic!
