Here's to a successful Good Friday rehearsal last week! Both Calvary & Adoramus Te Christe are sounding really nice; we'll work on the parts for Who is That Man? next time.

Huge thanks to Paul for playing in Bev & Frank's absence! A few minor things popped up here and there, but everything still came together quite well. It's hard picking favorites, but singing the Killoren version of Christ, Be Our Light was a fun change. Check out the audio here (**link removed**)

Our Good Friday & Easter Sunday music is ready! In meeting with Father on logistics last week, there shouldn't be any big changes. We do need to sort out cantors, though; I'll have details on report times & remaining rehearsals soon. Let me know if you have any questions.

UPDATE: 03/22: See Joanne's email on Holy Thurs & Vigil music/rehearsals. I've also shared the music plan for Good Fri and asked folks to let me know if they're joining us.

A reminder that our next Holy Week rehearsal is this Saturday, 03/25, at 3 PM. We'll take another quick look at Calvary & Adoramus, as well as parts on Who is That Man?. I'd also like to get into Easter pieces: All Shall Be Well / The Strife is O'erWhom Do You Seek? & He is Risen. Music & binders will be available again for those who need them. Stay tuned for an email with details.

UPDATE: 03/22: Bev is playing for a 3 PM funeral on Saturday in the Chapel, so she won't be able to join us for 3 PM rehearsal. Several others are also out. We'll focus on a capella pieces & voice parts like last week. Between the funeral, a FF retreat & late-morning PCO concert, there will be lots of activity in the bldg. Saturday.

Moving forward, Ginny's going to take over announcing songs (thanks, Ginny!). It's creating too many issues with me running back and forth, so hopefully things will flow better this way.

Looking at this week's music, please be careful of tempo on Praise to You, O Christ Our Savior. This tends to speed up, and since it's pretty wordy, things get a bid muddied.

For I Am the Bread of Life, let's make sure we're following the rhythms in the book for the eighth notes on the refrain (otherwise, we'll get out-of-sync with the accompaniment). Also, we'll likely need to add a second instrumental and/or repeat verses for time. The final refrain will be a capella

The Diocesan Lenten Penance Service will be next Tuesday, 03/28, at 7 PM. Please come sing/play if you're able. There's generally only 2-3 'live' songs, with the rest consisting of recorded music.

There's one new piece on the board for next week's Palm Sunday liturgy -- SS #100 - At the Name of Jesus (**links removed**). I'd like to start taking a look at this on Saturday.

We talked a bit about the possibility of an Easter Sunday 'dress rehearsal'. If we need the time, how does Saturday, 04/08, from 1-3 PM sound? This is along the lines of what we've done in the past.

Finally, looking ahead, there's a chance I'll be out the Saturday after Easter (04/15) due to a concert dress rehearsal. If that's the case, we'll need to sort out coverage. More to come.

Enjoy the nicer weather and have a great week!
