4th Sunday of Easter / Good Shepherd Sunday
Our music for the rest of May (HERE) has been sent to the Office for approval. Will let you know of any changes. The cantor schedule is also ready to go (HERE).
Please take a look at the Psalm, We Are God's People, if unfamiliar. We've only done this one once before, and the verses are a bit tricky.
If someone would be willing to cantor the alternate tropes on the Lamb of God, that would be great. The 'lamb of God...' text could also simply be repeated as we've done in the past.
Finally, Father is planning to do an Anointing of the Sick at the end of Mass for any interested parishioners. Depending on how he'd like to handle this, it might be done during the Closing song, or after Mass is over. Stay tuned.
UPDATE: 05/08: The Anointing will be done after the Closing song. Two pieces have been added to the program to cover this: With a Shepherd's Care and Healer of Our Every Ill. These should both be familiar, although we don't normally do them at 5:30. Barb said (jokingly) that we'll get paid overtime for this :-).
UPDATE: 05/10: As some of you know, Father has been out sick since Tuesday, so not sure how things are going to play out this weekend (possible visiting priest). Also, Andrea from the 11 AM Choir asked if she could come sing with us tomorrow, as she's going to be at 5:30 Mass. Please make Andrea feel welcome and fill her in on how we normally do things. Thanks!
