I hope everyone enjoyed our unplanned Mass by candlelight last Saturday! For those who missed it, the power was out across Gray's Woods, so we did Mass with emergency lighting only. This had to be a first for us and made for a rather unique, intimate experience. It wasn't without challenges, but we were (mostly) together and projected quite well. Interestingly, the lights came back on during a very appropriate verse of Taste and See (the Big Guy Upstairs was probably having some fun with us :-). Thanks for your flexibility in pulling things together and for bearing with my show schedule!

I've started a running post with info for the Advent/Christmas season. Check it out here. Everything is tentative at this point, but just wanted to get a jump start before things get busy. This post will be updated as we finalize the plan for the season. Of note, I tentatively have a rehearsal on the board after Mass next Saturday, 11/24. My hope is we can go over any new Advent music, review Mass of Joy & Peace (or whichever setting we switch to) and start working on preludes.

Thanksgiving Eve Mass is being celebrated next Wednesday, 11/21, at 7 PM. Barb's group is covering. Please come join in the singing.

Given the weather we've had over the past few days, a general reminder to please use your own judgement as far as coming to Church in snow/ice conditions. If you're not able to make it, no worries; just put out a note to the group so everyone's aware (I'll do the same if coming over the mountain isn't advisable for me). Welcome to winter, and let's all stay safe out there!
