Songs & Updates for Saturday, April 28, 2018

This Saturday is the 5th Sunday of Easter, as well as a Baptism.
Thanks for another strong Mass last week! We were a bit light on musicians, but didn't run into any major issues (beyond my tempo challenges :-). Per Father's request, we ended up doing With a Shepherd's Care as our Anointing of the Sick and Closing song, dropping River of Glory.

I'm in the process of picking the music for May, and will get that sent to the Office by early next week.

The usual changes have been made to the program for a Baptism. The Gloria will be done for Gathering and There is a Well for the Sprinkling Rite. Music for the We Believe responses can be found in our drawer. Since there's a dedicated Sprinkling Rite for the Baptism, Goodness is Stronger than Evil won't be used this week.

We've only sung We Are God's People once or twice before. Please look it over if unfamiliar -- the refrain is fairly straight-forward, but the verses are a bit tricky.

UPDATE: 04/24: the Psalm will actually be All the Ends of the Earth. I went back-and-forth on this a couple of times when picking music, and must have ended up listing the wrong one in my files. Sorry for any confusion.

In my absence, Maggie will (tentatively) be in command. Please feel free to email, call or text if you guys need anything or have questions. Otherwise, I'll leave you to it!

Lisa, Ken, Mary and I are out this week. Bev will be out next week, 05/05.
