This Saturday is the 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Mass last week went fairly well -- thanks to all who were able to be there!
Lisa K., Ginny and I stuck around for a bit afterwards to look at a few pieces for Lent, including 'Whatsoever You Do', 'Hold Us In Your Mercy' and Mass of Remembrance, which we'll start using next week. We also reviewed the Psalm (which we may try to do as a cantor trio) and looked at a possible Lenten Meditation piece that was suggested by Maggie and Deb, 'At Evening'.
The music for February was sent to the Office on Monday. The program for Saturday has already been printed; I'll let you know if there are any changes to rest of the month.
We've had difficulty in the past with the transition between the into and the first verse on 'Lead Me, Lord'. In the end, it should sound something like this.
With Lent starting next week, I'd like to rehearse again after Mass (perhaps we can relocate to the Chapel with the Mardi Gras festivities going on in the Parish Hall?). If you're not able to stick around, let me know.
